"Killing Chickens"

Three specific details that seem effective

• "She fights me, struggling to be free of my weight, my gloved hands, my need to kill her."
• "I clamp my hand over her beak and give her head a hard twist."
• "My anger and fear center like a tornado on having to kill this hen." 

The main idea of this article is that she shows her anger and fear from the divorce on the chickens.

              I see how they used the chickens throughout the whole story to describe her anger and fear. They use a lot of descriptive words so this caught my eyes and made me want to read more.  The story shows lots of emotion on how the mother and kids feel. Another thing that I noticed that she’s angry and afraid to tell her children about the divorce she's going to have from her husband.

Health Add

This ad that I found has alt of meaning to it. To me its saying when it comes to drink it’s the worst thing you could do in life especially when drinking and driving. This ad caught my eyes because there’s lots of accident in this world involving drinking and driving or even just drinking. In this add the audience can see that the bottle has pictures of crashed cars. This is saying that someone was drinking and driving; and they got into a car and crashed. I think this add is pretty good because it shows people that you drinking and driving will end your life or it will make something wrong with your life.

 I find that this is targeted to people who drive when they can’t really get in the car in the first place. It shows what happens after you get in a car wasted. We should have a designated driver when we go out to drive or partying where there are drinks. I think if people stop doing this, we won’t have anymore drinking and driving accident or we won’t have lots of people dyeing from too much alcohol in their system.

Theme Proposal

I would love to write about Health and Medicine for my theme proposal because I’m a Long-Term Care Facility Nurse Aide Competency Evaluation Program. Being a CNA, trying to be in the medical field is important because I would want to know how to be a better CNA and also I would want to help the residents. I want to expand my experience through CNA first and then work myself up the letter. For the memoir I would like to write about getting my CNA license in High School and what I had to do to be one. For the observation I would like to do a day in the life of a nursing home CNAs and the residents. And for the photo essay; I want to do it on how much nursing home has changed people’s lives and what do they do there.

This article is about students having fun during recess and showing them other ways not to get in trouble. Also schools are having this new program that is designed to stop bullying and behavioral problems. They are also trying to help the kids with their social skills and with childhood obesity. One more thing is article is trying to show kids is that they could have fun even when they are not sitting down playing video games all day.

                                                                Writer’s Autobiography

                Me personally I just don’t find reading fun and interesting. Reading is the one thing that I don’t enjoy doing because it makes me sleepy and it’s boring. My whole life I think I read one or two books by myself and they were “Child Called It” and “The Freedom Writers”.  In High School when teachers ask me to read I tell them that I don’t know how to read so I wouldn’t read aloud. The reason is that I really don’t want the other students to laugh at me when I say some words wrong.  On the other hand I enjoy reading something that’s interesting like “The Child Called It”. I try to read but it just doesn’t go with me. I prefer doing math than reading a book the whole day. Reading is one of my worst things to do. For reading I would like to read more interesting books not those boring books that make people sleep.

                Writing to me is ok. It’s not that bad when I have something that interests me or something I like to write about. I enjoy expressing my feelings when I’m writing. Writing is another way to escape from this world and problems. In High School, I wrote a story for my college writing class and it was pretty good. The teacher liked it and told me that he likes the way I write and the details that I gave. Last, semester my English teacher told me that I write well but sometimes I have to give more so the readers could be into the writing. This helped me a lot so now I think my writing is pretty good if I could say myself. This semester, I would love for the teacher to let us pick our own topics that we like to write about. That will be awesome and fun. On top of that I would love this class more.
